Crust
1 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup Florida Crystals® Organic sugar
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
Topping
1 ½ cups (12 oz jar) peach preserves
½ cup Florida Crystals® Organic Sugar
¼ cup butter, softened
1 tsp almond extract
1 ½ cups toasted slivered almonds
Glaze
½ cups Florida Crystals® Organic Confectioner’s Sugar
1 TBSP milk, or to desired consistency
½ tsp almond extract
Tip: To toast almonds, arrange in an even layer on a baking sheet and toast under oven’s broiler until golden, stirring frequently for even browning.
Preheat over to 350 degrees and arrange rack to center position. For crust, beat butter with sugar and flour. Press evenly onto the bottom of a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake 15-20 minutes.
